Valentine's Day treat at Brands Hatch!
Free entry to the 'love of motorsport' season launch

06/02/2008 - Brands Hatch is celebrating its love of motorsport with a grand season launch on 14 February - and you're invited!

This Valentines Day, drivers and riders from all the top championships visiting Brands Hatch in 2008 will be taking to the track and you can watch the action free of charge.

Highlights of the day include a unique chance to see triple FIA World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx go head-to-head with fellow British driver Rob Huff in a one-on-one race. British truck racer Graham Powell from Aylesford will also be in action, as his five ton truck takes on the mighty machine of rival Steve Horne.

British Superbike frontrunner Leon Haslam will be putting in some demo laps on the all-new 2008 Honda Fireblade, and drivers from the British Touring Car Championship will be out on track to blow away the winter cobwebs.

There will be flying demo laps from A1GP Team GBR driver Robbie Kerr and F3 rising star Henry Arundel. Formula Palmer Audi drivers Jack Clarke and Jolyon Palmer will be warming up for the new season, as will cars from the British GT Championship, DTM, and classic racing cars. There will also be some amazing display laps from an Autotuner drift car.

As well as plenty of circuit action, the Kentagon restaurant will be open for refreshments.

Come along to the Brands Hatch media day on 14 February. Entry is free and track action starts at 9:30am with demonstration laps from BSB rider Leon Haslam.

Its usually on a Weds - we have been every year and bl**dy forgot to check the date last year --so wrote on mi Feb calender for this season

It's dated 2008 . Are we not too late?????

1st Brands event for 2010 is the BMCRC Bike Championships on 6/7 march.

£12 on the gate, kids go free.
