Its a brilliant area to go riding...

Might be tempted to look at the diary - if lots of people book training courses hint hint Pray

Superb area to practice those cornering techniques you mention in your masterclasses.

i plan to do most of this in july spin Thumbsup

Absolutely!

Do you know this route up to Puy Mary?

It's a stunning ride. Also the Parc National de Volcans isnt far away. Also Ouradour sur Glane, which is an eye-opener.

Maybe something can be organised... Thumbsup

RE: Mid France
Do I know that route to Puy Mary - absolutely though I tend to use the D680 up to Col de Naronne which is just where your route ends ie on the crossroads of the D680 - go up and over and down the D17 where I do a U-Turn and head back up again and then head down the D680 to the D3 to Bort Les Orgues and the D979 back to Treignac

put this into GoogleEarth http://ridersrest.eu/documents/puymary.zip

here are some pics I took just last week, with a pal of mine Martyn who is from Kent (www.) and the week previous with a group from Essex...

This is the D16 approx 10 miles from Ridersrest

The Dam at the Bottom about 8 miles short of Muriac

Entering the Cantal Volcanic Parc

Col de Naronne (just above your routes end point)

Regular photo stop with Puy Mary in the distance

This is the top - the Col de Payroll was closed but as it was lunch time we rode up to see why. This was 30 April
