Wow JT to Ride Rossis' bike
sooo sooo excited :inlove: :swoon:
Toseland 'favourite' for Rossi MotoGP ride James Toseland is the hot favourite to stand-in for injured Valentino Rossi in the Fiat Yamaha MotoGP squad. It's believed Toseland, who has two years' MotoGP experience under his belt having ridden for Tech 3 Yamaha in 2008 and 2009, is the firm favourite to replace Rossi, following the Italian's leg-breaking crash at Mugello last weekend. The former double World Superbike Champion is top of Yamaha MotoGP's list as he has a substantial amount of experience on Yamaha's M1 MotoGP racer, as well as significant miles under his belt on Bridgestone MotoGP tyres. Bigwigs in Dorna and Yamaha believe Toseland would be a big crowd puller for MotoGP fans at the upcoming British Grand Prix, scheduled for 20th June, now Rossi is out of the picture. Reports in the media have also linked Cal Crutchlow, Toseland's current World Superbike team-mate, to the vacant ride but Yamaha are not willing to take a gamble on a rider with no MotoGP experience, despite Crutchlow's obvious talent. It's believed Toseland's former MotoGP team-mate Colin Edwards is also on Yamaha's list, but Yamaha would prefer to put Toseland in Rossi's place. Adventure BEFORE Dementia |

RE: Wow JT to Ride Rossis' bike
Nope its on the Cards BIG TIME!!!!!!! the gate sales will be way down cos of Rossi not being their and cos its UK MotoGP they want a UK rider --also if the bike does NOT race, the manufacturers will loose points --so its crucial someone rides it

RE: Wow JT to Ride Rossis' bike
Sure, Rossi has his fans but I can't see hordes of people saying "that's it, no Rossi so I'm not going"...
Sadly, I think the weight of expectation will be too much for JT if he does get the ride. He's been prone to visit the gravel when he tries too hard. KSB DISCOUNT . Blog . Free Riding Tips . Evening Training "Force has no place where there is need of skill" Herodotus 450BC |

Spin if you check the MotGp Forum --its quite suprising how many people follow it purley because of Rossi ( ) But they doo......... SOMEONE HAS TO RIDE THE BIKE AND jt IS THE ONLY PERSON THATS USE TO yAMS -USE TO mOTGP BIKES AND ALSO bRIDGESTONES ooops caps x And for the british UK GP is available -- they will stick someone else on for the next meet -I bet.............. But the manufacturer points have to be kept up or big money is lost................. Adventure BEFORE Dementia |

RE: Wow JT to Ride Rossis' bike
I'm sure you're right that they will pull in JT for the UK round... after that, who knows? My guess is they might try to buy Spies out of his contract.

Pretty sure Spies is an employee of Yamaha but i think the rules say you cant ride a Full factory in your rookie season my bet would be Toseland for Silverstone then Edwards will ride the Factory Yam and they will put another rookie on the tech 3

I'd forgotten about the rookie year rule. Damn silly one IMO - if they're good enough to be on the grid, they're good enough for a factory machine. Yamaha might try for special dispensation. I can't see them wanted to put either Toseland or Edwards on Rossi's bike for the rest of the season - they're both a backward step, to be brutal. KSB DISCOUNT . Blog . Free Riding Tips .
